Paul Carter has been the pastor of this church since 1984. He grew up in Richmond, Va. and graduated from Va. Tech in 1975. After graduation he and his wife Julie served with Campus Crusade for Christ at Texas A&M University for 5 years. Three of their children were born in Bryan, Texas. In 1981, the family moved to Jackson Mississippi where Paul attended Reformed Theological Seminary and moved to Lexington upon graduation. Another son was born to them in Lexington. In 1998, he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Covenant Theological Seminary. Paul and his wife Julie now have three daughters-in-law and two grandsons. His interests outside of church and family are early American Church history, especially Jonathan Edwards and Archibald Alexander, guitar, and golf.
